Deion Sanders, Colorado Band Story Isn't True (1:28)

Will Deion Sanders take his talents to the NFL this offseason? FOX broadcaster Joel Klatt offered his thoughts on this hot topic during an appearance on "The Herd" this Wednesday.

Klatt has his finger on the pulse of Colorado's football team due to his history with the school. He played for the Buffaloes from 2002-2005. So when he talks about Sanders' future in Boulder, people usually listen. With that said, he believes there are two NFL jobs that "Coach Prime" will seriously consider if they're offered to him in the coming months.

For starters, Klatt thinks it'd be tough for Sanders to pass up a return to the Dallas Cowboys. He also believes the New York Giants would be an intriguing landing spot.

"I think it would be really hard for him to turn down the New York Giants or Dallas Cowboys," Klatt said. "Those brands [would be interesting for Sanders]."

Even though Klatt believes the Cowboys and Giants would be intriguing landing spots for Sanders, he's not so sure the Hall of Famer will leave Colorado for the NFL.

"Colorado turned over the keys. Deion could be totally himself and turn Colorado into Prime. He had the keys to the castle - traditions were out the window, he could do whatever he want. ... Go to the NFL and see if you can do all that. He would be so restricted in the NFL that he couldn't even be himself."

Sanders has already said that he's happy at Colorado and doesn't plan on leaving.

"I'm happy where I am, man," Sanders said, via ESPN. "I've got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? ... That means I'm resting. I'm good, I'm happy, I'm excited. I'm enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here, truly do."

Of course, that doesn't mean Sanders will stay true to his word. At the end of the day, money talks. If he gets a ridiculous offer from an NFL team, he will have to consider it.
