More and more athletes are starting to speak out politically - and the Manning family is no different.
Peyton and Eli Manning are part of what is arguably the most famous football family of all-time. The two former NFL quarterbacks starred in the 2000s and 2010s. Peyton Manning led the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos to Super Bowl wins, while Eli Manning led the New York Giants to two shocking Super Bowl wins over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Their father, Archie Manning, starred collegiately at Ole Miss before going on to play for the New Orleans Saints. Their nephew, Arch Manning, is getting ready to take over as the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns.
Off of the field, the Manning family is making major moves. Peyton's production company, Omaha Productions, recently landed a valuation of $800 million. The Manning family has also landed a massive endorsement deal with Caesars.
While Peyton and Eli and the rest of their family don't speak out politically very much, they've made it very clear over the years where they stand - and they refuse to apologize for it.
Over the years, the Manning family has reportedly shown support for the Republican Party. Peyton Manning has attended some notable GOP events while Eli Manning has been friendly with Donald Trump.
Peyton Manning has been photographed with the Trump family, too.
The elder Manning has reportedly been a "longstanding" donor to the party.
The legendary NFL quarterback had reportedly been a "longstanding" supporter of the Republican Party. He had reportedly donated close to $20,000 to Republican candidates, according to USA TODAY.
Manning reportedly donated to past presidential candidates like Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush. The latter of which joked about Manning's support following the Super Bowl.
Eli Manning was once even accused of yelling "Trump" as an audible. He denied it, though he admitted to being friendly with the current President of the United States.
"I'm not a huge political person, so I don't get too involved in it," Eli Manning added.
Still, it's no surprise that the Mannings might lean right on many issues. NFL fans know that they grew up wealthy and in the South.
"I care , I'm glad they are smart enough to support the Republican candidates...USA USA...," one fan wrote on X.
"Two rich guys who grew up in the south with a rich dad. Wow it's a big surprise," another fan added on social media.
The Manning family certainly isn't alone in the sports world when it comes to leaning right.
Longtime NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick opened up about being "red pilled" earlier this year.
"It felt like a calling. I'd love to hear some of your perspective on how it all feels because it's been a tidal wave of change in what you do and how people see you. Standing up for something is a powerful thing because it's when you're in your truth," Patrick said while speaking to Riley Gaines. "When you're in your truth, you're quite magnetic. It gains momentum really fast, because when we're doing what's meant for us, the universe just lines things up for us. It went really quickly for me. It was a little over a year ago that I went to my first ever political event, which was AmFest here in Phoenix.
"I didn't know who Charlie Kirk was. I never paid attention to politics and quite specially have been avoiding the news since 2018. I just watched YouTube and spiritual information, but not the news. After going to that event, I posted some photos of my sister and I. It [her post] said, 'I love this country.' That was a divisive comment to so many, which was ridiculous. I then met Tucker Carlson and went on his show in the beginning of January. I came back from Florida and Charlie reached out to go on his show. I was like, 'Well, I guess I'm in politics now.'"
It's certainly becoming more and more acceptable to speak out politically in the sports world, especially for those who might lean right.
