The Betting Line For The NFC Championship Game Has Changed
01/21/2025 03:02 PM
The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face one of their biggest rivals, the Washington Commanders, in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday.
A berth in Super Bowl LIX is on the line but so are some big bragging rights for whoever wins.
The Eagles opened up as 4.5-point favorites when the matchup was finalized but the line has now grown to six points.
It won't mean anything when the game kicks off but some bettors clearly think that the Eagles are going to win the NFC and get to another Super Bowl. The Eagles are playing in their second NFC Championship Game in the last three years and are trying to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
Meanwhile, the Commanders are set to play in their first NFC Championship Game since the 1991 season when they won the Super Bowl. It's been a heck of a turnaround for them after they were one of the worst teams in the league last year.
They got the quarterback evaluation right and they have a great coaching staff that has all the players believing they can do this.
This will be the first of two conference title games on Sunday since two berths in Super Bowl LIX are on the line. After the NFC Championship Game finishes up, the AFC Championship Game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs will start.
The Chiefs are going for the third straight Super Bowl and even beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII two seasons ago.
Kickoff for the NFC Championship Game will be at 3 p.m. ET on FOX while the AFC Championship Game will be at 6:40 p.m. ET on CBS.
Super Bowl LIX will then take place on February 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
