Tim Tebow is back in the news this week, after the former NFL and college football quarterback landed a big job outside of sports.

The Heisman Trophy winner has become a partner at a venture capital firm in Florida. He's now working for GOVO Venture Partners.

Tebow's role calls for him to accelerate the growth of the fund's portfolio, which features seven companies to date that are involved in cloud clinic healthcare, data-supported traffic management, cybersecurity, connected vehicle commerce, AI-powered voice identification, medicine management and 3-D printed seawalls. GOVO hopes to close on another $10 million by August after ending its initial fundraising window back in 2022, GOVO managing partner Rob Panepinto said via text message.

While Tebow will be a working man again, he'll have less time to vacation with his stunning wife, former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow.

Tebow should thrive in his new role, though, as he's extremely connected in the state of Florida and has likely developed some great relationships with very powerful people over the course of his athletics career.
