A fascinating topic was debated during Friday's edition of First Take.

The panel debated whether active athletes who have podcasts are a problem since these players speak on a variety of topics during episodes of the show.

Stephen A. Smith, who is never shy of voicing his opinions, called out LeBron James and Micah Parsons for generalizing the media during their shows.

"I'm talking about LeBron and others. LeBron's a billionaire. I got news for you. It ain't just because of basketball. It's because of stuff that you have been doing, outside of basketball that are materializing into something very profitable for you, which you deserve mad props for. Admit it and own it. Stop acting like you're separate and apart from it because I'm not going to let them do that," Smith said

James and Parsons have guests from all over the sports community on their shows and they're not afraid to say how they truly feel.

Ryan Clark and Cam Newton also have podcasts but Smith respects what they do on them and thinks they don't generalize when it comes to someone having a problem with them.

Despite being called out, James, Parsons, and other athletes likely won't care what Smith says. They'll keep doing what they do on their respective platforms and keep making content for their fans.

Still, you'll likely see more active athletes get into podcasting since it's another great way to make money and connect with fans.
