Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are considered by most analysts to be the top two quarterbacks available in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Sanders had a great run at Colorado, throwing for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns during his final season of college football. Ward, on the other hand, had 4,313 passing yards and 43 total touchdowns for Miami. There's no question that both prospects will be first-round picks as long as they stay the course during the pre-draft process.

Earlier this week, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. released his first mock draft. As of now, he has Ward going No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans.

"I'm sure new general manager Mike Borgonzi will listen to trade offers here, but his real decision should come down to Ward vs. Colorado's Shedeur Sanders," Kiper wrote. "I actually have Sanders ranked one spot ahead of Ward on my Big Board (No. 4 overall). Ward has the early top-pick buzz around the league, though, so that's where I'm leaning for now. He extends plays with his creativity, mobility and strong arm. Ward led the nation with 39 touchdown passes this season, and he'd help put the Titans back on track."

Sanders has not addressed this mock draft from Kiper. He did, however, send a warning to Ward during a recent join workout.

On Friday, a video of Sanders and Ward getting in practice reps surfaced on social media. In this brief clip, the two quarterbacks talked about facing scrutiny.

Sanders believes he has dealt with far more criticism than Ward. He thinks that could change soon though.

"You ain't been crucified yet," Sanders told Ward. "Your time is coming."

Ward didn't agree with that comment from Sanders.

"They said I quit on my team when I didn't," Ward replied. "They crucified me during the game."

Ward was referring to the Pop-Tart's Bowl. He received a ton of backlash for sitting out the second half of action.

Some NFL coaches might ask Ward about that decision, so it'll never really leave him. On the bright side, it should help him when it comes to dealing with adversity.

As for Shedeur, he's the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders. He knows how to handle the spotlight.
