Country music star Morgan Wallen is not getting off easy for his Nashville chair-throwing incident.

Wallen pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges, avoiding felony reckless endangerment, in a Nashville courtroom Thursday. The 31-year-old musician had been arrested in April 2024 after throwing a chair from the rooftop of country star Eric Church's six-story bar, Chief's on Broadway, in Nashville.

Wallen, who nearly hit two Nashville PD officers with his furniture toss, was handed a suspended 11-month, 29-day sentence, according to WKRN.com, minus seven days of incarceration in a DUI education center. The rest of the sentence will be served under supervised probation, and Wallen must also pay a $350 fine and court fees, ruled Judge Cynthia Chappell.

"Upon the successful completion of his probation, the charges will be eligible for dismissal and expungement," Wallen's defense attorney Worrick Robinson said in a statement. "Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation."

Wallen, who was arrested on April 7, first addressed the situation in a statement posted to his personal X/Twitter account on April 19.

"I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility," he wrote

"I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW."

Despite the incident, Wallen was able to continue his "One Night at a Time" tour as scheduled and opened up a new bar, Morgan Wallen's This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen, in Nashville back in June.
