Ryan Day Has Warning For Notre Dame Ahead Of Monday's Game

The final game of the 2024 college football season is set to be played on Monday.
Ohio State will play Notre Dame for this season's national title in the first year of the 12-team College Football Playoff format.
Ohio State beat Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas in the CFP to get to this point while Notre Dame beat Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State.
The Buckeyes just got to Atlanta on Friday and head coach Ryan Day wants everyone to know that the Buckeyes haven't played their best game yet this season.
"I still don't think we've done that. That's the goal," Day said.
That's a scary thought for the Fighting Irish since they will likely need to score a lot of points to beat the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes have one of the best offenses in the league and scored 28+ points in all three of their CFP games.
They have also held all three of their opponents to 21 or fewer points. This is a team that is firing on all cylinders and is an 8.5-point favorite heading into this game.
The Irish will need their defense to be on top of their game and they'll need quarterback Riley Leonard to have success as a passer if they want to pull this off.
The Buckeyes haven't won a national title in college football since the 2014 season under Urban Meyer while the Irish haven't won it all since 1988 under Lou Holtz.
Kickoff for Monday's CFP National Championship Game will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will have the call.
