The Most Memorable Player Holdouts In NFL History (1:57)

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win their season opener over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, and rookie Xavier Worthy was a big reason why.

Worthy, the speedster from Texas who set the all-time record in the 40-yard-dash at the scouting combine, wasted no time on Thursday night.

He took his first NFL touch to the end zone, scoring on a reverse play and running untouched to the end zone.

Later in the game, he scored a pivotal touchdown that proved to be the difference after the final play.

Worthy's debut was a positive sign for his career and role in the Chiefs' offense, but one analyst is catching heat for his comments on the rookie before the game.

During the pregame show, Rodney Harrison said that Worthy's speed was incredible, but that his size would make it difficult to make an impact.

"Xavier Worthy is this little skinny guy, he doesn't scare me, I know he is fast, but he doesn't scare me," Harrison said, speaking to Tony Dungy and Jac Collinsworth ahead of Thursday night's game.

"Speed wins football games. Rodney is dumb as rocks....just like every other talking head. Morons," said one fan.

"Rodney the league is built for lil skinny fast guys to be able thrive now, this not your era," another fan said.

"The chiefs must've showed this to Xavier," one fan said.

"Rodney Harrison is the biggest hater of all-time," another fan added.

"4.21 speed is fast 💨 💨 💨 … and scary if you gotta chase it," said one fan.

"Rodney Harrison being wrong immediately, football is back," one fan said.

Worthy may be one of the lighter players in the league, but he's far from the only smaller player to make an impact.

Similar comments were made about former Heisman trophy winner DeVonta Smith, who's had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

We'll see if Worthy can reach the same heights, and if Harrison's opinion of the young receiver changes after his great debut performance.
