Riley Leonard is having quite a night at the Orange Bowl.
Notre Dame and Penn State have just tied things up, 24-24, late in the fourth quarter at the Orange Bowl. Leonard, the transfer quarterback from Duke, was knocked out of the game with a possible concussion toward the end of the first half. However, he was ruled to be asymptomatic and allowed to return to the game in the second half. Leonard has made some bad throws, tossing two interceptions. But he just made a big one.
Leonard just connected with wide receiver Jaden Greathouse for a huge, game-tying 54-yard score. ESPN's cameras quickly panned to Leonard's friends and family members in the crowd.
Leonard's girlfriend, Molly Walding, is a former Auburn University student. She's known Leonard for a long time, as they were high school sweethearts.
They celebrated their seven year anniversary earlier this year.
"Celebrating an Irish win and celebrating 7 years of us!!!!!! I couldn't be more thankful for you," she wrote.
Molly has developed a big following on social media, with close to 10,000 followers on Instagram. She's posted a lot about Riley's college football career, as she's been there for every step of the way.
"Shoutout to @riley.jleonard for giving us something to look forward to every weekend!!!!! Still rooting for #13 ☘️💚✨," she wrote.
Molly is attending Thursday night's College Football Playoff semifinal game, along with Riley's family and some good friends.
The winner of the Notre Dame vs. Penn State semifinal game will move on to the national title game. Ohio State and Texas will play in the other semifinal game on Friday evening. Kickoff between the Buckeyes and the Longhorns is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. E.T. on Friday night.
The College Football Playoff national title game is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 20.
