The Kentucky Wildcats are in need of a new men's basketball coach, and one fan knows exactly who he wants to see in charge.

The fan went the extra mile by sending a message to their preferred candidate while they were eating at a restaurant.

According to Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones, a Kentucky fan called a restaurant in Waco, Texas where Baylor coach Scott Drew was having lunch.

The fan relayed their message through a waitress, who told Drew that "we need you in Lexington."

With Drew reportedly set to meet with Kentucky regarding the vacant head coaching job, that fan may get their wish.

Drew has been with Baylor since 2003, leading the Bears to a national title and multiple deep runs in the NCAA Tournament.

Drew has made a reputation for himself as one of the best coaches in the country, and he is a top candidate to fill the vacancy at Kentucky.

The Wildcats are looking for a new head coach after the departure of John Calipari. Calipari is set to join the Arkansas Razorbacks, moving within the SEC amid a series of head coaching changes at the top of college basketball this year.

The Kentucky job is one of the most prestigious in the sport, especially after what Calipari has been able to do as a recruiter and as it pertains to getting players into the NBA.

Drew has had several players make it to the NBA as Baylor's head coach, and with the resources potentially available to him at Kentucky, he could increase that output if he decides to take the job.
