The Baltimore Ravens led the rest of the AFC in Pro Bowl selections by a fairly wide margin this past week. But in addition to the nine players heading to the Pro Bowl Games in Florida before Super Bowl LIX, one of their cheerleaders was chosen to represent the team too.
On Thursday, the Ravens revealed that Chelsea of their cheerleading team was named their representative at the upcoming Pro Bowl Games. The team had a little fun when they initially told Chelsea, having her sit through a meeting before surprising her with the announcement from the league.
"Our #CheerleaderSpotlight to close out the regular season is BRC Chelsea! In February, she will travel to Orlando and represent the @ravens at the Pro Bowl! We will honor Chelsea tomorrow, directly after our end zone routine! ✨💜In December, we tricked Chelsea into thinking we needed to film Pro Bowl promotions. Instead we had her family and teammates send in videos congratulating her on this huge accomplishment! 🥹🫶," the team wrote on Instagram.
On Saturday, the Ravens made good on their promise to honor Chelsea before the game, announcing her Pro Bowl selection to the crowd at M&T Bank Stadium and giving her a special Pro Bowl sash before the game.
"Recognizing our #ProBowl Cheerleader Chelsea," the team posted on Instagram.
Though her full name isn't public, Chelsea P. is in her fourth season with the Ravens. Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, she attended N.C. State and works as a labor & delivery nurse during the NFL offseason.
Her Instagram, @itschelsss_, has over 3,000 followers mostly featuring either her time with the Ravens or with her husband, Cleveland Cavaliers video assistant Aaron Robinson.
"Happy Anniversary my love! 2 cross country moves, new jobs, working opposite schedules.. you still make everything feel easy and you make every small moment feel big. From day 1 you've been my best friend and biggest cheerleader, thank you for showing me how good love can get. Something tells me this will be my favorite chapter of our story yet," she wrote back in September.
Chelsea loves to enjoy some fun in the sun as well and has posted a few very impressive swimsuit photos on Instagram through the years.
As it stands, the Ravens are primed to secure the No. 3 overall seed in the NFL playoffs with their win over the Cleveland Browns. That likely sets them up with a Wild Card meeting against either the rival Pittsburgh Steelers or the surging Los Angeles Chargers at M&T Bank Stadium next weekend.
