Randy Moss watched the Minnesota Vikings celebrate him on Monday night.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver recently revealed that doctors found a cancerous mass in his bile duct between his liver and pancreas. He underwent a six-hour surgery to remove the cancer and was released Friday after a six-day hospital stay. Moss must still undergo chemotherapy and radiation.

Minnesota began Monday's NFC North game against the Chicago Bears with a tribute to Moss. Former Vikings wide receivers Cris Carter and Jake Reed carried their ex-teammate's purple No. 84 jersey onto the field before the coin toss. Fans chanted "Randy" after hearing the "Let's Moss Cancer" mantra.

"You're with us tonight, 84," the Vikings wrote when sharing the video on social media.

Moss responded to the team's post by sending gratitude to everyone at U.S. Bank Stadium.

"LUV U ALL!#letsmosscancer," Moss wrote.

Reed, who played alongside Moss for three seasons, shared a photo of the powerful moment and another supportive message to Moss.

"A prayer and a tribute for my brother Randy Moss," Reed wrote. "Let us all continue to keep him in our prayers!"

Before the game began, play-by-play announcer Joe Buck shouted out his ESPN colleague.

"We are all sending our thoughts his way during his treatment and recovery," Buck said. "He is well represented in this stadium here tonight with his jersey, and man is he missed on Sunday NFL Countdown. Can't wait to get him back."

Justin Jefferson scored his eighth receiving touchdown of the season during the first quarter. In the end zone, Minnesota's new All-Pro wide receiver honored his predecessor.

"We love you, Randy!" Jefferson shouted. "That's for you."

Moss began an extended absence from Sunday NFL Countdown this month to address his condition. The crew paid tribute to him when continuing his signature "You Got Mossed" segment on the show.

"As soon as I get healthy to get back out with guys, I will be on set. ... Hopefully I can be with you guys soon," Moss said in an Instagram Live video. "My goal is to get back on television with my team."
