Earlier this week the racing world learned that Lizzy Musi p[assed away following her battle with an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Lizzy's father Pat Musi announced his daughter's death in a post shared on Facebook earlier this week. She was just 33 years old.

"Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight," the post began. "Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share."

Tributes and prayers started pouring in following her death.

"Sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to you and your family," one person said.

"i have no words; my thoughts and prayers are with yall," said another.

"Our heart goes out to you and your family. May she rest in peace. Sending our condolences," offered a third.

Lizzy first announced her diagnosis just over a year ago in late April 2023.

"Hey Everyone, I haven't been able to have much time to post due to an unexpected life change. A few days ago I have been Diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 4 Breast Cancer that has moved to my lymph nodes to my liver," she announced in a post on Instagram.

Our thoughts are with the Musi family.
