A Look Into Melania Trump's Younger Years (1:35)

President Biden issued an official warning to Americans on Wednesday.

The Democratic Party is getting concerned about the growing class of the super-wealthy elites. We're certainly starting to see more and more money hitting the sports world, with the New York Mets owner Steve Cohen, one of the world's richest people, spending billions in free agency over the past couple of years. Contracts in the NFL and the NBA are getting insane, too, with top players making more than $50 to $60 million per year.

Now, on Wednesday, Biden issued an official warning to all Americans, days before he leaves office.

Biden warned Americans on Wednesday night that there is an "oligarchy" of the ultra-wealthy taking place in the country. He believes there is a "tech-industrial complex" that is infringing on the rights of American citizens, now and into the future.

The Associated Press had more:

Speaking from the Oval Office, Biden sounded alarm over an oligarchy he said "is taking shape in America." Invoking President Dwight Eisenhower's warnings about the military-industrial complex when he left office, he added, "I'm equally concerned about the potential rise of a tech-industrial complex that could pose real dangers to our country as well."

Biden, who is leaving office next week, following the inauguration, was saddened to drop out of the presidential election over the summer.

"Nowhere else on Earth could a kid with a stutter from modest beginnings in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Claymont, Delaware, one day sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office as President of the United States," Biden wrote in his letter to Americans. "I have given my heart and my soul to our nation. And I have been blessed a million times in return with the love and support of the American people."

The 2025 inauguration, meanwhile, is set to take place on Monday afternoon.
