Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar has finalized his decision on the 2025 NFL Draft.

Allar, who led the Nittany Lions to a College Football Playoff semifinals appearance, previously said that he would be returning to school for 2025. But leading up to Penn State's semifinal bout against Notre Dame, there was talk that Allar could leave school anyway. NFL teams were reportedly showing interest in Allar, suggesting that he could rise up the draft boards leading into the spring.

But Allar, who struggled in an Orange Bowl loss to Notre Dame, has finalized his decision for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Allar has reportedly finalized his 2025 NFL Draft decision, deciding to return to school.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz confirmed the news.

"Penn State QB Drew Allar is returning to school for his senior year and won't declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. Allar has plenty of fans in NFL front offices, but had a variety of different projections. Likely the smart decision," he reported on Monday afternoon.

Allar, a 6-foot-5 quarterback out of Ohio, completed 66.5 percent of his passes for 3,327 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions during the 2024 season.

Penn State lost to Notre Dame, 27-24, in the College Football Playoff at the Orange Bowl on Thursday evening. Allar struggled in the game, completing just 12 of 23 passes for 135 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

Allar is an extremely gifted athlete, though he has room to grow as a quarterback. NFL teams will look for him to take a next step during the 2025 season.
