Paul Pierce Getting Crushed For Laughable Take About Patrick Mahomes

The Kansas City Chiefs will begin their playoff journey on Saturday, taking on the Houston Texans in the Divisional round. The stakes are high with a trip to the AFC Championship on the line, and all eyes will be on the 15-2 Chiefs as they look to make it back for yet another year.
The Chiefs are big favorites, as most of the NFL world is giving them the edge after back-to-back Super Bowl titles. With the opportunity at a third on the line, most fans expect the team to raise their game in the playoffs.
Ahead of Saturday's game, Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Pierce says he won't be able to put the Chiefs' star quarterback Patrick Mahomes on the same level as Tom Brady.
"If Mahomes loses tomorrow, there will probably never be any conversation about him reaching GOAT status over Brady," Pierce said on Fox Sports 1's "Speak" on Friday.
"The only thing that can get him in the conversation is the three-peat," Pierce said, attempting to further explain his point.

Fans reacted to Pierce's comment, and many of them couldn't believe his take on Mahomes.
"Tom Brady went 10 years in between his 3rd and 4th Super Bowl. What are we doing?," one fan asked.
"please keep the basketball era style debates away from football. We literally do not watch the game with this POV," said another fan.
"The worst thing for sports discourse has always been the fact that grown adults act like they don't know how team sports work," said one fan.
"This is so irrelevant because if he lost tomorrow and won a Super Bowl the next year then what ?," another fan asked.
"Paul Pierce should never talk football. He has no idea what he's talking about fr," another fan claimed.
"I love Brady he'll most likely forever be the goat but these hot takes are getting out of hand Paul is buggin," said one fan.
If Mahomes and the Chiefs complete a three-peat this season, it would be the first time in history that a team has won three consecutive Super Bowls. Mahomes would also be a four-time Super Bowl champion - impressive, but still three away from Brady's seven career championships.
If Mahomes can play as long as Brady did - certainly no guarantee - there's a chance he may be able to catch or even surpass him when it comes to Super Bowl championships.
