Few quarterbacks in the NFL have consistently beaten Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes as much as Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has. But tonight's AFC Championship game was not one of those losses and Mahomes is heading to his third Super Bowl in a row and fifth Super Bowl of his career.

At the presentation of the Lamar Hunt Trophy and AFC championship title, Mahomes gave thanks to a lot of people. But he made sure to save space in that speech to give props to Allen too.

"I have so much respect for Josh, man. He's a true competitior. True warrior. Great football player. They always comes down to the wire. Luckily we were on the winning side this time..." Mahomes said.

While the usual suspects were out in force, continuing to rip the Chiefs for getting help from the referees and vowing to boycott any Super Bowl with the Chiefs in it, many were pleased to see how classy Mahomes was towards the opponent he just beat:

"As he should. Great game to the Bills & Josh," one user replied.

"Respect goes both ways! These two are redefining the QB rivalry," wrote another.

"Can't even hate. Just have to respect it at this point," a third wrote.

Mahomes is just 1-4 against Allen in the regular season and has lost four straight regular season games to the Bills.

But in the playoffs, where the games have mattered more than anything else, Mahomes is now 4-0 against the Bills. He has been near-flawless against Buffalo too in those games, throwing nine touchdowns with no incompletions.

The Bills, meanwhile, may be coming to a bit of a crossroads with head coach Sean McDermott. Despite McDermott's specialty being defense, he couldn't seem to figure out how to stop Mahomes from moving the ball either through the air or even on the ground.

For the Chiefs, there's two weeks of preparation to go before Super Bowl LIX. For the Bills, many months of agonizing and a little bit of soul-searching.
