Patrick Mahomes' Family Isn't Shy About Where It Stands Politically

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready to take on the Buffalo Bills in a huge AFC showdown on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.
The Chiefs, 9-0 on the year, took down the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round last January. Kansas City went on to win the Super Bowl last year. The Chiefs have been playing like a championship team once again in 2024, though there's obviously still a lot of football to be played. Mahomes hasn't even been at his best for most of the year, but he's made the plays when it counted most. He'll have to do that in a big way on Sunday.
Mahomes is used to playing up to the moment. He's also become very used to off-the-field distractions.
Patrick Mahomes' family - mostly his mom, Randi, his wife, Brittany, and his brother, Jackson - have all made headlines for their political views over the years.
Randi Mahomes officially endorsed Donald J. Trump prior to the 2024 presidential election.
"Make America great again, let's do it!" she said.
Brittany Mahomes, meanwhile, has also voiced her support for Donald Trump. She liked a MAGA post on social media that included phrases like: "Keep men OUT of women's sports," "Carry out the largest deportation operation in American history," and "Cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory, Radical Gender Ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children."
And Jackson Mahomes has also shown support for Trump, posting in support of him after the 45th president of the United States was shot in Pennsylvania back in July.
The quarterback, meanwhile, wants to stay out of the political spotlight, even though his family refuses to do so.
"I don't want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president," Mahomes said, per Time magazine.
"I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research."
It's interesting that Patrick Mahomes and his family have such different approaches to the limelight. However, it's obviously working for them.
The Chiefs and the Bills, meanwhile, are set to kick off at 4:25 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
