Meet The Family Members And Significant Others Of Olympic Athletes Going Viral At The Paris Olympics (1:07)

The 2024 Olympics are in the rearview mirror, but Anicka Delgado shows zero signs of slowing down.

Delgado, a 22-year-old swimmer from Ecuador, competed in the 50-meter freestyle at this year's Olympics. Even though she placed second in her heat, her time wasn't good enough to reach the semifinals. And yet, she remained upbeat about her performance in Paris.

"Wow!! First off, I am overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that I have received over these past couple of days," Delgado wrote on Instagram. "Thank you to EVERYONE that I have met along this journey and in my life. Each one of you has left an impact and has helped me to reach my goals.

"As for my performance, I swam my second best time ever!!! And I could not be more proud of myself for getting here. Over the past two days, rather than feeling nervous and scared, I've felt so much peace. I've enjoyed every single second being here at the games and on this journey. I feel SO blessed to have made it this far. These are moments I will never forget."

Delgado's following on social media blew up during her time in Paris. She's now up to 69,500 followers.

On Thursday night, Delgado left her Instagram followers speechless by sharing a look at her newest workout gear.

Delgado has not yet announced her plans for the 2028 Olympics. If she chooses to compete in the Summer Games, she'll get to perform in front of her loved ones in Los Angeles.

That might be the only motivation Delgado needs.
