Ohio State dominated its College Football Playoff first round matchup over the weekend, beating Tennessee 42-17 in Columbus.
Quarterback Will Howard threw for 311 yards and two touchdowns and running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins rushed for two touchdowns apiece, while the Buckeye defense sacked Tennessee's Nico Iamaleava four times and limited the Vols to only 256 yards of total offense. It was an impressive performance turned in by the home team in their all-scarlet alternate uniforms.
On Monday, the Buckeyes announced their uniforms for the upcoming College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl against Oregon. As the lower seed, Ohio State will wear their traditional away uniform, with white tops and grey pants.
The jerseys also include the official Rose Bowl patch, which can be seen below, but do not feature the gray sleeve stripes the Buckeyes have worn in past CFP games.

Oregon has not revealed what jerseys they will wear for the game yet, but considering the Ducks are usually well-attired, we could have an all-time uniform matchup in the Rose Bowl.
These two programs met during the regular season, with Oregon eking out a 32-31 win over the Buckeyes on Oct. 12.
"They do a great job on offense, throwing the ball, running the ball," Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said of the Ducks."... It's a challenge, we've seen that live and in color. We've made adjustments coming off of that game and we've worked hard to make sure we're putting our guys in the best position to be successful. ... But our defense is playing with great confidence. ... They're continuing that build from after we played these guys the first time."
Even though Oregon is undefeated and the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, Ohio State is currently listed as a 2.5-point favorite over the Ducks.
The Rose Bowl will kick off at 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 1, with ESPN broadcasting the action and Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe on the call.
The winner will face either Texas or Arizona State in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
