'Oh, Come On!' - Cris Collinsworth Rips Melissa Stark's Sideline Report

Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth and Melissa Stark are on the call of NBC's Sunday Night Football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Commanders.
The Commanders are leading the Bucs, 13-10, early in the second half. Jayden Daniels, the rookie quarterback out of LSU, had a good first half, connecting on a touchdown pass and looking comfortable in the pocket. But he sustained a minor injury in the first half, getting cut on the face.
NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark had a report on the "injury" during the first half. But the report was instantly mocked by Collinsworth on the air.
"Oh, come on. We wouldn't even show that if it was anybody but a quarterback," Collinsworth said in response to Stark's report on Jayden Daniels' minor facial cut.
NFL fans admitted that Collinsworth was correct in his assessment, too.
"True words. LOL," one fan wrote.
"Yes, the quarterback position Cris is pretty important so you know, they're probably gonna show it…. I'm sorry that confuses you," one fan joked.
"He would not have said this if it had been Mahomes," one fan added.
"If it's Mahomes, though…?" another fan wondered.
"He's not wrong," one fan added.

Collinsworth is right in that it was a very minor, nothing cut on his face. But Jayden Daniels is a quarterback and a very popular one at that. And there was some definite blood streaming down his face.
So, it wasn't a surprising report from NBC, but it's funny to see Collinsworth mocking it.
