Notre Dame and Georgia are a couple of hours away from kickoff at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Thursday afternoon.

The Fighting Irish and the Bulldogs were originally scheduled to play at the Caesar's Superdome on Wednesday night. But the New Year's Day attack on Bourbon Street caused the College Football Playoff quarterfinals game to be postponed. A 42-year-old U.S. citizen drove a white truck onto a crowded New Orleans street, killing 14 people and injuring dozens more. New Orleans essentially shut down following the attack and officials decided the Sugar Bowl would be postponed.

Now, the game is about to kick off on Thursday.

Maddie Wong, a senior Notre Dame Fighting Irish cheerleader, is trending on social media before kickoff at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Thursday afternoon.

She's ready to go.

Notre Dame held a team meeting following the attack on Wednesday, with head coach Marcus Freeman delivering a message to his players.

"The first part of that meeting was to mourn and pray for our country," he told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt. "But the end of the meeting was to redirect our focus to preparing for this game."

He added: "In the toughest moments, the culture of any program, of a nation, are revealed. I have a lot of faith we're going to rally around the city of New Orleans and support all the victims and families that were affected today."

Notre Dame and Georgia will be playing for a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The winner will move on to the semifinals to take on No. 6 seed Penn State, which defeated Boise State in the quarterfinals.

The Fighting Irish and the Bulldogs are scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. E.T. on Thursday.

The College Football Playoff quarterfinal game will be airing on ESPN.
