Nick Saban Gets Brutally Honest About Alabama's Playoff Hopes

Alabama faces an uphill battle to get into this year's College Football Playoff.
Alabama is No. 13 in the latest CFP rankings and should be considered a bit lucky after getting blown out by Oklahoma this past Saturday.
The Crimson Tide went into Norman as a favorite and lost by 21, 24-3. It gave them their third loss of the season heading into their final game of the regular season against the Auburn Tigers.
Former Crimson Tide head coach and current College GameDay analyst Nick Saban thinks it will be hard for the CFP Committee to award the Crimson Tide with a spot in the CFP since they have three losses.
"It's gonna be hard to reward a team with three losses," Saban said. "Especially with the kind of losses that Ole Miss and Alabama have had to pretty much .500 teams I wanna call them. Pretty average teams. You got some other teams that maybe didn't play the same competition but they didn't lose games to average teams either so I think that matters. The only team that could have an argument to get in with three losses is Georgia if they lose in the SEC Championship."
The Bulldogs are 6-2 in SEC play and have clinched their spot in the SEC Title Game against one of the Texas Longhorns or Texas A&M Aggies. The winner of the Aggies-Longhorns game will meet the Bulldogs in the SEC Title Game for a chance at the conference title and an automatic bid into the CFP.
The Crimson Tide will need help both this weekend and the following weekend if they want to make the 12-team CFP.
