NFL Team Cancels Meeting, Sparks Rumors About Firing

An NFL team canceled its weekly team meeting on Monday, sparking rumors about a possible head coaching firing.
The New England Patriots lost to the Arizona Cardinals, 30-17, at State Farm Stadium on Sunday. Patriots owners Robert and Jonathan Kraft went viral for their reaction to the game in a suite - they did not look happy. While Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo is only in his first season, there's been growing speculation that a coaching change is possible.
Now, on Monday morning, the Patriots have announced that their weekly meeting has been canceled.
"No team meeting for the #Patriots today post-loss in AZ. Some players were scheduled to speak, but that's been canceled," Mike Kadlick reported.
The Patriots have also canceled press conferences, as some players were scheduled to speak to the media on Monday, but that will no longer be happening.
"Patriots players will not have a team meeting today, therefore we won't be scheduling any video conferences this afternoon," the team announced.
NFL fans are now convinced that a coaching move could be coming to New England soon.
"Someone better be getting fired," one fan wrote.
"kiiiiinda feels like the owners are listening to fans and that's not good," one fan added.
"Extremely Troubling. I wonder is Jonathan has convinced Robert that enough is enough," one fan added.
Longtime Boston sports fan Bill Simmons, who founded The Ringer, added his own thoughts.
"Every time anyone with the Pats says anything out loud or in an owners box it's a disaster, so this seems like a good idea," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Patriots played on the West Coast on Sunday afternoon, so maybe the team is just getting the morning and afternoon, following a late flight back.
Or, perhaps, there is change coming to New England. Will Mayo become the fourth NFL head coach to get fired this year?
