NFL Insider Predicts Aaron Rodgers' Next Team For 2025 Season

Aaron Rodgers has not yet decided where he'll play football next season, but it certainly sounds like his only suitors right now are the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Well, maybe not. Earlier this week, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported the Minnesota Vikings are "not pursuing Aaron Rodgers at this time." They apparently want to move forward with J.J. McCarthy as their starting quarterback. That makes sense considering they selected him in the first round of last year's draft.
That being said, Dianna Russini of The Athletic still believes the Vikings are an option for Rodgers. In fact, she's predicting that he'll sign with Minnesota this offseason.
During an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Russini was asked to guess where Rodgers will end up. She was initially hesitant to give an answer because she didn't want people twisting her words. A few moments later though, she gave her vote to Minnesota.
"I think Aaron Rodgers is going to be a Minnesota Viking," Russini told Patrick.
Russini later said that Minnesota isn't completely out on signing Rodgers. The franchise just wants to see what it has in McCarthy before making a run at the future Hall of Famer.
"To me, the biggest takeaway was the Minnesota Vikings have very strong believe and confidence that J.J. McCarthy is the guy. Yet, they're still going to discuss Aaron Rodgers," Russini said, via SI. "Rodgers is still on their radar. They need to learn something this spring. I don't know what that is, but they need to see something. I think they want to see where he's at physically, where he's at mentally. There's a lot in play here before they really make their decision that they're officially done with Aaron Rodgers. There's no in or out on Rodgers, it's just for right now."
If Rodgers is willing to wait until May to sign with a team, he could end up on the Vikings. And if not, he'll have to settle on the Giants or Steelers.
