There's a lot of parallels between NFL offensive linemen and professional sumo wrestlers - something which Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons learned the hard way.

In a recent visit to Japan, Parsons took on a professional sumo wrestler from the Arashio sumo stable. It took everything Parsons had in the tank to simply move the man backwards a couple of steps and even then, the unidentified wrestler was able to almost effortlessly slap him aside.

Sumo wrestlers come in many shapes and sizes but nearly all of them - particularly ones who have been in the sport for a while - wind up having huge bodies that are hard for anyone to move.

So it should be no surprise that after seeing this clip, NFL fans had one simple message: "Can we sign this man?"

"Giants need to sign that guy," one user bluntly said.

"Question, why aren't NFL scouts and coaches going and trying to recruit these guys to play in the NFL? Dude just took on Parsons one of the premier pass rushers in the game and it took Parsons 10 seconds to finally move the guy. I'm not saying tackles, but put them at guard," another wrote.

"This made me realize that there's an entire untapped market of potential NFL O-Linemen in Japan just gotta transition them from sumo wrestling to football," wrote a third.

"Somebody sign this mammoth," a fourth demanded.

There really isn't a lot of crossover between the NFL and sumo wrestling despite the similar skillsets between sumo wrestlers and NFL linemen.

Maybe a viral clip like this can change that.
