NFL Fans React To Jalen Hurts Being Banned From Playing Golf

The life of an NFL quarterback can be a stressful one, but at least many of them can blow off some of that steam by playing a round of golf.
Not so for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who says he isn't allowed to play due to his contract.
Hurts spent some time with former president Barack Obama, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie and his teammate Saquon Barkley recently, but noted that he couldn't join the trio on the course.
Jalen Hurts says he did not actually golf yesterday with former President Obama, Saquon Barkley, and Jeff Lurie. Jalen hung with the group the whole time. He says it's in his contract that he can't golf.

NFL fans are reacting to the unique wrinkle in the quarterback's contract.
"Today was the day I gave up my dream of being an NFL quarterback," one fan said.
"Signed the worst contract in NFL history," another fan said.
"Maybe let Saquon do all the heavy swinging, and Jalen can just putt it in from a couple feet out and pretend like he contributed?," another fan suggested, poking fun at the famous "Tush Push" play.
"His signature play is where he gets squished between some of the strongest professional athletes in the world, but it's too risky for him to hit a 7 iron," one fan asked.
"Who is Jalen Hurts' agent? 'No golfing' has gotta be one of the worst negative covenants of all time," said one fan.
"As a professional football player if you get hurt golfing something has gone terribly terribly wrong," said another fan.
"its in my contract too about golfing, cause i suck at it and dont want to do it," one fan joked.
The rule may be a less-than-ideal one for Hurts, but the Eagles are understandably trying to protect their quarterback. Hurts signed a five-year, $255 million deal with the Eagles.
The deal includes over $175 million in guaranteed money, giving Hurts plenty of room to find other hobbies aside from playing golf.
On the field, Hurts, Barkley and the rest of the Eagles will look to keep their winning streak going on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game can be seen on CBS Sunday at 4:05 PM ET.
