The Philadelphia Eagles are apparently not the only NFL team scheduled to visit the White House in the coming months.

The Eagles just beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59, earning an invite to D.C. from President Donald Trump. In an interview with OutKick's Clay Travis this weekend, Trump revealed that the Chiefs will also be making a trip to the White House soon, but not this year's runner-up squad.

Instead, the 2019 Chiefs, who won Super Bowl LIV in February 2020 one month before the COVID-19 shutdown, have accepted an invitation to celebrate at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue five years later.

"I look forward to having the Eagles, and one other thing, we're going to have the Kansas City Chiefs after that because they missed their turn because of COVID," Trump told Travis.

The Chiefs have been to the White House each of the last two years to mark their wins in Super Bowls LVII and LVIII. Former President Joe Biden welcomed the champs both times.

Now, Trump says the 2019 team will have its day in the sun, though right now there has been no date announced for the visit. The Eagles' trip is scheduled for April 28.

Following Trump's announcement, NFL fans have been discussing the Chiefs' invite on social media.

"Even when they lose the Chiefs still end up at the White House," one person wrote.

"That's awesome," a second person said.

"You mean Clark Hunt is excited to come," said former NFL executive Upton Bell, referencing the Chiefs' owner.

"This is cool," a fourth person added.

"Clay…the 2002 @Buccaneers never got 2 visit the WH due 2 the War on Terror outbreak…Trump should invite them also. It's never 2 late!" a Buccaneers' fan added.

One thing that will be interesting to see is if Travis Kelce joins his 2019 Chiefs teammates on the visit. Kelce is said to be angry with President Trump after he made disparaging remarks about his girlfriend Taylor Swift in the aftermath of Super Bowl 59.
