NFL Fans Have Same Problem With Prime Video Broadcast For Ravens-Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will square off this Saturday evening in what should be an extremely physical playoff game. Unfortunately, not every fan will get to watch it.
It was announced well before this weekend that Prime Video would get the exclusive rights to a Wild Card game. At the time, fans didn't think much of that decision. Now that it's finally time for the Ravens and Steelers to clash for a spot in the divisional round, people are complaining about the NFL giving playoff games to streaming platforms.
Prior to kickoff, countless fans ripped the NFL for being "greedy." Of course, that's not going to change the league's stance on this subject.
"NFL is a bunch of demons for making the Steelers Ravens game available only on prime," one fan said.
"Ravens Steelers on Prime Video is so dumb," a second fan wrote on X.
"So apparently the Ravens and Steelers game will be on Amazon Prime for everyone not in Pittsburgh or Baltimore," another person said. "Watching sports in America is starting to require multiple streaming services just to finish a full season. This is ridiculous."
"NFL is greedy making regular people paying for Prime. I won't do it. The Monday night game is actually on ESPN and ABC but the Steelers/Ravens are Amazon Prime," a fourth fan tweeted.
Back in September, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell explained why deals with Prime Video and Peacock are important for the league.
"The bottom line is, you have to go where your fans are, and our fans are moving off onto streaming platforms," Goodell said, via Awful Announcing. "Netflix is a good example of that. Peacock is a good example of that. Amazon is a good example of that. Our fans are on different platforms, and we need to reach them. But at the same time, over 85 percent of our games are still available on free television. We think we have the most fan-friendly policies for our friends and the media world of any league by far; 100 percent of our games for the two teams participating."
Suffice to say, this won't be the last time Prime Video streams an NFL playoff game.
