NFL Fans Fed Up With Officiating, 'It's A Problem'

Playing in the National Football League is really, really hard. Officiating the sport might be even harder, though.
Not from a physical standpoint, of course. But the game is played at such a high speed, with so much happening on any given play, that it's almost impossible to get every call right throughout a contest. And when you do make a bad call as a referee in the National Football League, there are tens of millions of people watching, ready to point it out.
Still, in 2024, we've had a lot of questionable calls, and NFL fans are pretty fed up.
"It's a problem."
NFL fans have been taking to social media to weigh in on the state of officiating in 2024.
"NFL officiating is horrible that was one of the worst spots I have ever seen in the Commanders game," one fan wrote.
"That's a first down for Ertz. I truly don't know what they're looking at. He catches the ball at the line to gain. NFL Officiating is a problem. League wide. It's not good enough," one fan added.
"I'm running for president in 2028. I am running on one policy. I will fix NFL officiating," one fan added.
"All 31 teams should sue the NFL for this disrespectful level of "officiating,'" one fan added.
"nfl officiating should be independently investigated for the way they call Steelers games," one fan added.
"NFL has a real officiating problem and I don't know how you fix it," one fan added.
There was one cool officiating moment on Sunday, at least. Shawn Hochuli, the son of former NFL referee Ed Hochuli, announced a penalty in German at Allianz Arena, during the Giants vs. Panthers game overseas.
Ed Hochuli officiated the NFL's first game in Mexico in 2005, and he called the first penalty in Spanish.

Maybe if NFL referees start announcing penalties in all kids of different languages, the fans will take the bad calls in better fashion.
