NFL fans are calling for Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy to be fired on Sunday evening.

McCarthy, who appears to be on the hot seat - though you never really know with owner Jerry Jones - is having a dismal performance against the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys are trailing the 49ers, 27-10, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Dallas will drop to a disappointing 3-4 on the season with the loss.

The Cowboys are two weeks removed from getting blown out at home by the Lions. Dallas had a bye week to get its issued fixed, but the Cowboys look inconsistent, undisciplined and poorly coached once again.

NFL fans think it's time for McCarthy to be axed.

"I hope they don't as a birds fan but idk how McCarthy isn't fired if they finish this game terrible. Pathetic performance out of a bye," one fan wrote.

"Fire him right now man," one fan added.

"Fire McCarthy when the season is over. He's the worst play caller in the NFL," one fan added.

"Fire McCarthy. This team is trash," one fan added.

"Mike McCarthy needs to be fired after this game. You can't have a bye week to prepare and your offense looks like this. This is terrible," one fan added.

Jerry Jones has said that he wouldn't be making any in-season coaching moves, but at some point, you have to get rid of your pride and do what's best for the team.
