An NBA veteran who played for several teams during his professional career has died at the age of 54.

Former player and current Phoenix Suns analyst Eddie A. Johnson reported that Oliver Miller has died. Miller spent time with six NBA teams over his nine year career, and appeared for several smaller teams in different leagues around the world.

Fans are paying their respects and remembering Miller for his impact on the game.

"RIP to the former Raptors big man. A Toronto original, from the Skydome days," one Raptors fan said, referencing Miller's time with the team during their inaugural season in 1995.

"RIP to Big O. MayDay & Miller era is what hooked me on Hog Hoops," said an Arkansas Razorbacks fan. Miller was a first-round pick in 1992 after playing four seasons for the Razorbacks. He won SWC Player of the Year in 1991 and earned All-SEC honors the next year.

"Watched the Big O growing up, remember seeing him with the Suns 1993 NBA finals team. RIP," another fan said. Miller played in 56 games as a rookie for a Suns team that made the Finals during Charles Barkley's MVP season.

"The '93 team was the reason I fell in love with the Suns. So sad to hear this," one fan added.

"Went through school the exact years and Big O, Todd Day and Lee Mayberry. It was always something to see them on campus. He's gone much too soon," said another Arkansas fan.

"Barkley Suns don't rally from 0-2 against the Lakers Showtime leftovers squad without Oliver Miller, much less make the Finals. Absurd instincts on both ends. He and Richard Dumas were rookies on that '93 squad. Their staying power is an extremely bittersweet what-if. RIP, Big O," said one fan.

"Rest in peace to the great Oliver Miller. A legend in every sense of the word," another fan added.

In addition to the Suns and Raptors, Miller also played for the Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves. His basketball career ended in 2010 after stints with multiple smaller leagues.

Rest in peace to Oliver Miller, and we send condolences to his family during this difficult time.
