Meet The Wife Of Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman (1:35)

Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman is one of the best players in baseball. Freeman is an eight-time All-Star, two-time World Series champion and won the most recent World Series MVP in 2024.

Freeman is among the best first basemen of his generation, but those who have come to know him over the years have praised him for the person he is off the diamond.

Freeman often donated to Atlanta-area charities during his time with the Braves, helping out area food banks and shelters during the pandemic. He also hosted an annual event to raise money for an Atlanta children's hospital that helps kids with cancer and blood disorders.

In the wake of the fires that have devastated Los Angeles this week, Freeman and his wife made another kind gesture.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, Freeman and his wife Chelsea are donating $100,000 to three different organizations to aid in the relief effort.

The Freemans have donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Pasadena Fire Department and the Salvation Army.

"Freddie is a goated human being and ball player (even if I am a Yankees fan)," said one fan.

"The Freemans are special human beings - still so thankful he chose LA!," said another fan.

"I'm gonna forever love Freddie man Idc if he's not a Brave anymore," one fan added.

"Los Angeles had his back when it came to his family. Now he's returning the favor," another fan mentioned. Freeman's son Max was diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome this year, and when he returned to the lineup, fans gave him a standing ovation at Dodger Stadium.

"Impossible to root against this guy. First class all the way," one fan said.

"Freddie always been one of my favorite players in the league & especially for things like this," said another fan.

Several families have lost their homes in Los Angeles this week, as entire neighborhoods have been reduced to ash and rubble. Total economic loss for the area in terms of property and business is said to be around $150 billion, covering tens of thousands of acres in and around the city.

As Los Angeles looks to rebuild after the devastation of the fires, Freeman is giving back to the community during a time of great need.
