Baseball fans around the world are accusing the MLB of rigging this year's Tokyo Opening Series for Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It all has to do with a home run that was launched in the fifth inning.

With the Dodgers holding a 5-2 lead over the Cubs, Ohtani crushed a 2-2 pitch from Nate Pearson to center field. Initially, it looked like the reigning MVP just missed a homer in front of the raucous crowd in Tokyo. The umpires, however, ruled it a home run as he was rounding second base.

The replay review from FS1 showed a fan getting a hand on Ohtani's home run ball. Most people watching at home thought that should be considered fan interference.

And yet, the MLB rewarded Ohtani with his first home run of the 2025 season. That led to countless fans saying this game was rigged for the Dodgers.

"The MLB rigged these games for the Dodgers," a Cubs fan said. "Why are WE the home team, when Guggenheim (LA owner) sponsored it? Why are all the celebs in Dodger gear, why are there tons of Dodger graphics? Why is the store 90% dodger gear?"

"Wow just witnessed MLB give Ohtani a HR that CLEARLY was not a home run and had fan interference," one person commented. "God forbid they put the man back on 2B in his home country. What a joke this rigged sport has become."

"MLB literally gave Shohei Ohtani a homer on a ball that clearly didn't go out," another fan said. "Not beating the Dodgers 'best for baseball' rigged allegations any time soon."

"Not a home run. Anyone but Shohei and that's an out," a fourth person declared.

The Dodgers don't need any assistance to take care of their opponents. Their roster is loaded with star talent from top to bottom.

That being said, we're still unsure how the league let this clear case of fan interference slide without any consequences.

Do you think Ohtani's homer on Wednesday was correctly called?
