Mina Kimes Proposes Surprise Landing Spot For Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers Insane Dating Roster (1:12)

Aaron Rodgers has not yet announced if he'll continue playing in the NFL. If he wants to suit up for one more season, there's a chance the New York Jets could move on from him.

From a production standpoint, Rodgers had a fine 2024 season with the Jets. He had 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Although he's under contract for the 2025 season, Jets owner Woody Johnson is willing to cut ties if that's what head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey want.

"I'm gonna leave that to them," Johnson said, via SNY. "They got to take a look at how the team is composed and what they think they need and put all that together."

The most fascinating scenario would involve the Jets cutting or trading Rodgers. At this stage in his career, it's pretty evident he's not going to carry the franchise to a Super Bowl. So, where could he end up?

ESPN's Mina Kimes is convinced the Tennessee Titans could be a player in the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes.

"I don't think they're going to draft a quarterback. I do think they're going to go the veteran quarterback route - I suspect," Kimes said. "His style of play meshes really well with [Titans head coach] Brian Callahan."

The Titans aren't built to win right now, but signing Rodgers would allow the front office to draft the best player available with the No. 1 pick as opposed to reaching for a quarterback just because it's a need.

"Bring him in, get the offense going, and then focus on the offensive line and playmakers," Kimes added.

Before the regular season ended, Rodgers said he'd take a break to think about whether or not he wants to keep playing.

"I told them I'm going to take some time," Rodgers said. "They haven't made a decision on a GM or a coach yet. Once that happens, that will take us to the next step which is a conversation I'm assuming with whoever that individual is. But this is a time where I'm taking time for my body and my mind to clear things."

Now that a new regime is in the building for the Jets, it's time for Rodgers to be open about his future.

As for the Jets, it's pretty apparent that Glenn and Mougey will do what's best for the roster. Even if their strategy offends Rodgers, they'll stick to their script.
