We're two days removed from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill telling the media that he's done with the team.

The Dolphins missed the playoffs after finishing the 2024 season with an 8-9 record and Hill wasn't pleased.

"I'm out bro," Hill told reporters on Sunday.

Since then, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel have had "productive" talks with Hill even though he didn't walk back his comments. Grier also added that Hill hasn't asked for a trade.

Hill was banged up during the season but still finished with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. Had he been fully healthy, he easily would've secured a fifth straight 1,000-yard season.

The Dolphins' first intention is to try and make sure their relationship with Hill is good since they don't want him to ask for a trade. He's a big part of their offense due to how good he is.

They acquired him ahead of the 2022 season and have had him for the last three seasons. They haven't won a playoff game during that time but are trying to improve their roster so they can make a deep run in the playoffs.

If things were to change, Hill would be the top receiver available on the trade market during the offseason. There aren't a lot of receivers that can do what he does every week, especially with his speed.

He has compiled six 1,000-yard seasons since coming into the NFL in 2016 and had his best individual season in 2023, finishing with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.

We'll see what the future holds for Hill with the Dolphins.
