The Miami Dolphins will take the field on Monday night with their sights set on a much-needed win. The team has dropped its last two games to the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks, two of the last remaining unbeatens in the league.

The Dolphins season changed dramatically when Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion against Buffalo, an injury that has forced the team to place him on injured reserve.

Backup Skylar Thompson started the team's last game against the Seahawks, but he was knocked out of that game with a rib injury. With Thompson injured and the team in need of a new quarterback, they signed a former Pro Bowler off another team's practice squad.

With a massive Week 4 game against the Titans on the horizon, that former Pro Bowler will be their starter on Monday night.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel says that Tyler Huntley will start at quarterback for the team on Monday night.

Huntley joined the team shortly after Tagovailoa's injury, coming in after spending time with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens in camp and the early portion of the season.

This is Huntley's second time filling in for a top quarterback, as he replaced an injured Lamar Jackson in 2022. Huntley started four games that season and earned his first career trip to the Pro Bowl, named as an injury replacement for Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.

The Dolphins will lean on Huntley to get their season back on track Monday. They'll look to avoid falling to 1-3 against a struggling Tennessee Titans team that has yet to earn a victory this season.

The Dolphins aren't sure when they'll get Tagovailoa back this season, but Huntley is one of their best options to fill in until he does. We'll see what the former Pro Bowl quarterback can do against one of the worst teams in the league on Monday night.
