College Football's 10 Most Intimidating Stadiums (1:16)

Notre Dame punched its ticket to the next round of the College Football Playoff on Friday night, dismantling Indiana at home.

Although the final score looked pretty close, 27-17, it wasn't really a ballgame for most of the second half. The Fighting Irish had a 27-3 lead over the Hoosiers with only a few minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. It was an embarrassing performance for Curt Cignetti's squad, especially after he talked a big game on "College GameDay" hours before kickoff.

It appears Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman heard some of the things Cignetti said pregame. After Friday's playoff game went final, the two coaches had an incredibly awkward handshake at midfield

Freeman had zero interest in making eye contact after the game. Fans are convinced he was trying to snub Cignetti.

You can be the judge:

Despite what this video may show, Freeman spoke highly of Cignetti during his postgame press conference.

"I told Coach Cignetti after the game I think that's a heck of a football team we faced that showed they wouldn't quit," Freeman told reporters. "Some good teaching opportunities for us. We're going to use that fourth quarter defensively, special-teams wise, we've got to learn from some of those situations that happened in that game."

As for Cignetti, he admit that Notre Dame was simply better in every phase of the game.

"They took it to us. I thought their quarterback played really well, I thought their defense suffocated our offense till the last 1:50 or whatever," Cignetti said. "They won, they deserved to win. We didn't play our best game, but they had a lot to do with that tonight."

With the victory over Indiana in the books, Notre Dame will turn its attention over to Georgia. These two historic programs will square off on New Year's Day.

Notre Dame is currently a slight underdog heading into its epic showdown with Georgia. The betting line could change at any moment though. After all, the Bulldogs won't have star quarterback Carson Beck at their disposal. They'll need to lean on sophomore signal-caller Gunnar Stockton.
