The WNBA offseason is underway, which means that women's basketball fans are turning to the college scene now that the 2024-25 campaign is underway. And with Caitlin Clark officially in the pros now, that leaves UConn Huskies guard Paige Bueckers as one of the biggest names around.

Bueckers has gotten off to a hot start for the Huskies so far this season, as she's averaging 21.3 points, four assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting a mind-boggling 65 percent from the floor and 50 percent from behind the arc.

Bueckers is set to make the jump to the WNBA after this season with UConn, with many folks believing she will be the top pick in the draft. So with the 2025 draft lottery recently taking place, everyone figured Bueckers would tune in to see which team landed the first overall pick, but as it turns out, she didn't watch the event at all.

While she is likely aware that the Dallas Wings now have the first overall pick in the draft, Bueckers simply replied, "No, I did not," when she was asked if she tuned in for the draft lottery.

Bueckers is laser-focused on her final collegiate season with UConn, and she doesn't want anything to distract her from her quest of winning a National Championship. So with that in mind, she hasn't even been paying attention to the WNBA, as it's not what she is concerned about right now.

And yet, while Bueckers may not care about the WNBA right now, she is the talk of the town right now, especially in Dallas, where she is widely expected to land in the 2025 draft since they have the first overall pick. For now, though, her goal is to win with the Huskies and get through the 2024-25 campaign without suffering any sort of injury.

UConn has already won their first three games of the season, with their latest being an impressive 69-58 victory over No. 16 ranked UNC. Bueckers and company will look to keep on rolling when they return to action against Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday, Nov. 20th, at 7 P.M. EST.
