With major changes on the way in Golden State, longtime Warriors guard Klay Thompson will reportedly meet with four teams in free agency, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Per Woj: "Thompson plans to have discussions with the Mavericks, Lakers, Clippers and 76ers" in the opening hours of the free agent period.
The Dubs waived Chris Paul on Sunday in a salary shedding move that will likely see Thompson on his way out the door next.
Negotiations between the two sides have reportedly all but stalled since last summer when the five-time All-Star turned down a two-year, $48 million extension to remain with the franchise he's called home since 2011.
It's hard to believe that we may be looking the end of the Warriors Big 3 dead in the face.
After six Finals appearances in an eight-year stretch (which included four NBA championships) the Dubs appear to be moving forward with Steph Curry and Draymond Green to maximize what's left of their respective primes.
Thompson has battled some age and injury over the past several years but is still roughly the same player the Dubs won their last title with in 2022.
He should garner plenty of interest on the open market with nearly every team looking to add more shooting to its roster.
