Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore was once believed to be the next in line in Dallas dating back to the Jason Garrett era.

But after the Cowboys decided to go with Mike McCarthy (and later get rid of him) Moore took his talents to LA and Philly.

Now the 35-year-old OC is once again in talks to land his first head coaching job after receiving interview requests from the Jaguars and Saints. However, it's a team that hasn't requested his time yet that might be the most interesting.

Following Jerry Jones' announcement that McCarthy would not be retained after five seasons of service, Moore's name immediately shot to the top of Dallas' list.

"I spent a lot of time there, eight years there, so [I] have plenty of relationships in that place," Moore said Tuesday. "I love it here. I've had so much fun here. It's been a really fun process, and we're in a really special situation right now, getting the chance to play this Sunday, having a chance to make a run at this thing, and that's really all you worry about. Everything else is what it is, and we'll see where it takes you."

Moore was the Cowboys' backup QB for three seasons before eventually transitioning to quarterbacks coach and later landing a coordinator position.

It seems like it could be a great fit if the Jones Family is looking to go in a new and simultaneously familiar direction (which they tend to like).

Deion Sanders is another name that's come up in recent days and the Colorado coach and ex-Cowboys DB is reportedly expected to have serious discussions about potentially taking he job.
