Caitlin Clark more than lived up to expectations in her rookie season as No. 1 overall pick for the Indiana Fever.

The former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar shattered countless WNBA records en route to her near-unanimous Rookie of the Year selection, helping the Fever to its first playoff appearance since 2016.

Clark added to that growing list of professional accomplishments on Wednesday when she was named as one of five players on the All-WNBA First Team.

After receiving this honor, Clark took to TikTok with a post recapping her historic rookie season.

"Rookie Szn [check]," Clark wrote as the caption.

One of the top comments on the post is from Clark's former Iowa teammate and current best friend Kate Martin.

"Fireeeeeeeee," Martin wrote in the comment section.

Clark and Martin were teammates for four years at Iowa. Martin attended the 2024 WNBA Draft to support Clark as the league's top pick, but was ultimately selected by the reigning-champion Las Vegas Aces at No. 18.

Both Clark and Martin have publicly expressed how important their friendship is as they make the transition to the WNBA.

"She's somebody I text every single day... Just being there for one another. Just be a listening ear," Clark said earlier this year. "... She's one of my best friends. There's not a lot of people that really get it.

"... She's doing great. Obviously I still wish she was my teammate."

Clark and Martin will return for Year 2 of WNBA action with their respective teams in 2025.
