Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders Turn Heads After AFC Title Win
Today at 10:47 PM
The Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the third time in a row and the fifth time since 2019. They are the first team in history to reach the Super Bowl after winning the previous two and are vying to achieve the first-ever Super Bowl threepeat.
The Chiefs have had all kinds of support to make it this far. From head coach Andy Reid becoming just the fourth-ever member of the prestigious 300-wins club of NFL head coaches to Patrick Mahomes finding ways to win without playing hero ball, to rookie Xavier Worthy proving that speed kills, to defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo re-emerging as the pre-eminent defensive mind of this generation, this season has been truly special.
But is their team good enough to take on this Philadelphia Eagles team. In a rematch of Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs take on the Eagles, who have largely the same core of players that nearly beat them two years ago but with the added assistance of the league's leading rusher in Saquon Barkley.
The Chiefs are going to need to be in top form to beat the Eagles after the way these playoffs have gone and they're going to get that support on the field from their cheerleaders.
Taking to Instagram after tonight's win over the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs Cheer team declared that they're ready to head to New Orleans to help battle the Eagles.
"SUPER BOWL LIX, HERE WE COME," the team wrote right after the game.
"Let's take a trip down to New Orleans," the team wrote shortly afterwards.
The two posts have combined for over 3,000 likes and plenty of turning heads.
The Chiefs Cheer team made sure to bring their Sunday best on and off the field. Prior to the game, the cheerleaders all showed up to Arrowhead Stadium sporting their best red, white and black outfits to mark the occasion.
The Chiefs players are ready, the fans are ready and the cheerleaders are ready.
We're just two weeks away from crowning a new (or familiar) NFL champion.
