Kamala Harris Announces Decision On Second Presidential Debate With Donald Trump

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are a little more than six weeks away from squaring off in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Earlier this month, the Democratic Vice President and Republican former president faced off in a debate in Philadelphia. Since then, there has been uncertainty over whether they will meet a second time.
On Saturday, Harris made it clear she is willing to debate Trump again, officially accepting an invitation to a debate hosted by CNN on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
"I will gladly accept a second presidential debate on October 23. I hope @realDonaldTrump will join me," Harris tweeted.
Should Trump agree to another back-and-forth, it would be a change from what has been his stance on a hypothetical second debate.
Two days after their first meeting, Trump posted on Truth Social that he won't take part in a second debate.
"When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, 'I WANT A REMATCH,'" Trump wrote. "Polls clearly show that I won the Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris, the Democrats' Radical Left Candidate, on Tuesday night, and she immediately called for a Second Debate."
"KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!" Trump added.
The 45th President of the United States and this year's Republican nominee, Trump previously debated President Joe Biden in June. Biden later dropped out of the race in July and was replaced atop the Democratic ticket by Harris.
The 2024 general election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5.
