JuJu Watkins, NFL Star Had Fans Talking with Link-Up During USC Game

JuJu Watkins and the USC Trojans had a special guest to watch their 71-25 blowout win over the UNC Greensboro Spartans on Saturday. The sophomore guard was spotted talking with Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels after the game.
Watkins led her team to a comfortable win after tallying 22 points, eight rebounds, two assists and three steals in 28 minutes. Although she left the game due to an injury scare, Watkins was back in the stands later, having a chat with Daniels.

Once their interaction hit social media, it was inevitable for many fans to react to this surprising link-up.
"I ain't never seen JuJu hold a smile that long. Showing all 32! 😂" one fan said.
"Yea I aint never seen Juju smile like this," another fan noted.
"This the longest sustained smile she's ever had lmao 😆🔥😃," a third fan said.
"Jayden Daniel's mom approves of this for sure," a fourth fan said.
"I've never seen her so alert. Always with her eyes half closed. She looks focused. lol," a fifth fan added.
"That'd be a pretty dope power couple if this is what it looks like," a sixth fan wrote.
Several claimed Watkins and Daniels are actually cousins, but that's all but confirmed. Their friendship can be explained by learning about their youth. Watkins and Daniels grew up in Southern California, with the USC star coming from Watts and the former LSU quarterback from San Bernardino.
It's common to see athletes becoming friends because of their geographical proximity, just like Watkins' potential Elite 8 opponent Paige Bueckers and fellow Minnesotans, NBA players Jalen Suggs and Chet Holmgren.
Watkins and the Trojans will return to action on Monday night against the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
