Joe Rogan was among those appalled by a headline from MSNBC earlier this week.

MSNBC was among the outlets reporting on the trial verdict for the killing of college student Laken Riley. The 22-year-old Georgia nursing student was murdered by an illegal immigrant earlier this year. Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan gang member who entered the U.S. illegally, was found guilty of murdering Riley in February. He was found guilty and convicted on nine other charges, including kidnapping and aggravated assault with intent to rape. He will serve life in prison.

However, MSNBC published an opinion piece, titled "Laken Riley's Killer Never Stood a Chance."

This infuriated many on social media, including Joe Rogan, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call it out.

"What the (expletive) is this (expletive)," he wrote to his 14 million followers.

Ultimately, MSNBC decided to edit its headline, which was criticized by many. The story's title was changed to "The Guilt of Laken Riley's Killer Was Never in Doubt" on Friday.

MSNBC was ripped on social media.

"Woke MSNBC sympathizes with illegal aliens who murder young Americans. Do they know who actually never stood a chance? Laken Riley. She was targeted by a vile criminal and fought for her life for 17 agonizing minutes. This headline is repulsive," one fan wrote.

"Laken Riley's killer never stood a chance because HER BLOOD WAS ON HIS CLOTHES along with the rest of the evidence. Ffs, MSNBC," one fan added.

"An actual headline from MSNBC: "Laken Riley's killer never stood a chance" Ask yourself: Why is MSNBC writing sympathetic headlines for an illegal alien monster and killer? Why is MSNBC's "legal analyst" Danny Cevallos ok with this headline?" one fan added.

People pass by a memorial to Laken Riley at Lake Allyn Herrick on the campus of the University of Georgia on June 7, 2024, in Athens, Georgia. On February 22, 2024, Riley, a nursing student at Augusta University, was killed while she was jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Her body was found in Oconee Forest Park near the lake. The suspect, José Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan, had reportedly entered the US illegally. Bad headlines happen, but it's unclear what MSNBC was thinking about with this one.
