Meet Joe Buck's NFL Reporter Wife (1:01)

ESPN NFL play-by-play man Joe Buck has been watching the NFL playoffs from the comfort of his own home since ESPN's final broadcast of the season concluded in last weekend's Chiefs-Texans game.

But if you ask one internet troll, Buck is not only at the game, but doing all he can to disparage the Chiefs.

Prior to the AFC Championship Game, a troll account tried to bait people by accusing Buck of being the announcer for the game and seeking "any chance he can" to insult the Chiefs.

"Of course @Buck is the announcer for chiefs game🤦 he'll find any chance he can to dog on KC," the troll user wrote.

While most media people on social media know better than to feed the trolls, Buck decided to have a little fun. Taking to X, he joked that he and Tony Romo are getting ready to call the game and told people to tune into CBS.

"Yep! Almost set to go. Cold here in KC. @tonyromo and I are about to see who will meet the Eagles in SB LIX. Tune us in on @NFLonCBS," Buck joked.

The obvious joke is that Buck does not work at CBS (and hasn't since 1991).

Buck's bosses at ESPN may not appreciate him giving a shoutout to a rival network, but Buck clearly found it hilarious and so did a number of his colleagues in NFL media.

"Joe you sound great. And that's a heckuva talent you have to sound just like Jim Nantz," one user joked on X.

"Joe - You are doing a great job on the Chiefs game. I didn't like how you started the broadcast by saying 'Hello Friends.' Apparently you thought you should quote Jim Nantz??" wrote another.

"Need you back with Nantz like Pebble Beach 2019," a third wrote, referring to his golf collaborations.

"I guess ESPN allowed Joe Buck to call this game on CBS …" wrote a fourth.

Jokes aside, Buck appears to be having the time of his life working alongside Troy Aikman at ESPN.
