Jason Kelce is known for having fun, but he attempted to set the record straight about a very important piece of jewelry.

Rumors circulated that Kelce's Super Bowl ring was "stolen" during a live recording of the New Heights podcast with his brother Travis on April 11.

On Wednesday, the former Eagles star addressed those rumors.

"This is incorrect, and not what I was saying," Kelce said. "I do not think it was stolen. Based on the video evidence we do have I think it was accidentally thrown in the trash while cleaning up."

Kelce did notice that the ring was missing at that show - fans even participated in a game where they were tasked with finding the ring in two pools of chili - but he was adamant that it was not stolen.

"We have still yet to find it," Kelce said about the ring, noting that an attempt was made to find the ring again the next day.

"All of this stuff has been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill, someplace in the Cincinnati Tri-State area."

Kelce may not be able to find the ring, but he's definitely finding more opportunities in retirement. The Kelce brothers are more popular than ever, and they've made several television and media appearances since the end of the NFL season.

Travis is set to head back to the Kansas City Chiefs in pursuit of another Super Bowl title, but Kelce could take any number of opportunities. NFL broadcasting is on the table, and after his appearance at WrestleMania, professional wrestling could be as well.

We'll see what Jason Kelce does with his newfound free time, but the silver lining is that he can dedicate as much of it as he needs to get his Super Bowl ring back.
