Between bad luck and bad plays, the Cincinnati Bengals have turned into one of the most surprising 0-3 teams in recent memory. But the signs are slowly starting to creep in that things are unraveling in the locker room.

Speaking to reporters this week, Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase spoke about how it wasn't "fun" through the first two weeks because he wasn't making big plays for the team. He said that the drought ended in their loss to the Washington Commanders this past Monday and that now he believes the "BS of the offseason" is behind him.

"Ja'Marr Chase: I wasn't having fun the first two weeks. Says making the big plays on Monday brought the joy back. Feels like the "BS of the offseason" is behind him," Fox 19's Joe Danneman wrote on X.

But fans did not like the implication of that statement, with many asserting that it shows Chase is just being selfish for caring more about making big plays than his team being behind.

"So it's about him making plays and not winning," one user remarked.

"Wait a minute… they lost to fall to 0-3, but for Chase, the joy is back? I guess that means as long as he gets his stats, regardless of winning or losing, he's happy?" wrote another.

"Weird way of saying 'I don't care if we win, I just want my stats'. Loser," a third wrote.

It's not a very strong argument. You're allowed to be upset by not getting the ball much and also upset that the team is losing.

But we live in an age where if you say you like pancakes people will criticize you for hating waffles.
